So, so many. In fact, the only ones I wasn't keen on were Shaz (hated her), Maxi, Rhiannon, Sheena and Snowball. I don't even remember the last two on your list there, for all the impact they had on me. Oh, and never liked Natalie Buxton, but I guess she had her moments occasionally.

I could easily vote for all of them except those. Yvonne will always reign supreme, she owned Larkhall well and truly. But loved the Julies, Costas and Tina. Didn't vote for them, but I loved Monica Lindsey too, and Al Mackenzie.

Do you remember in S5 when Shell and Denny set Snowball's hair on fire? I loved Shell in that scene :L

"No, Den. Don't smoke in here...!"

Always a memorable scene when I think of this show.

Yvonne and Shell for me. Full of great characters but nobody quite comes close to those two!

    This!

Shell always gets the best one liners.

    This!

Shell always gets the best one liners.

She really did, but Renee Williams got the best one liner in the show's history during her short stint - "how'd you like to have your tits dipped in the chip pan, darling?" :D:D

Does anyone remember minor character... 'Smelly Nelly Snape' in the first ever episode? :L

Julies: You could cut out those dirty habits, like not washing.
Nelly: But I don't want to! I'm... REBEL.

Atkins ofcourse. Shame she got killed off but the story was so dark and thrilling.

I'd love to see this again from the start. Haven't seen it since i was young.

I always liked Darlene Cake. Some of the things she came out with were priceless, and heaven help anyone who tried to steal her Jammy Dodgers :)

Nikki. She and Helen were the heart of the show. Once their story was over, the show pretty much was too.

Voted for (in order of preference) - Nikki, Pat, Phyll, Bev, Yvonne, Shell, Two Julies and Tina.

I have to agree with the above poster - Nikki and Helen were the show in my eyes.

Natalie Buxton. She was just plain nasty. She was the hardest ever inmate. None of the others could beat her up.

Pure evil who was linked to a paedophile ring. She was pretty hard as well as she did mention she did karate on the outside. However, Pat Kerrigan, who was a bit of Bruce Lee herself, finished her off.

I found Buxton too 'pantomime villain' and very one-dimensional; but then every aspect of the show suffered from season 6 onwards, including characterisation.

Yvonne would have eaten her for breakfast, anyway :D

Wasn't she killed by one of the other inmates?

Yvonne beating up Al MacKenzie in the wash room was great. Though I wish Yvonne had also beaten up Shaz, the annoying little spikey haired idiot.

What happened to Denny? Was she released?

Yvonne Atkins. Best character out of them all. I stopped watching 'Bad Girls' after the character was killed off.

Denny was transferred to an open prison. Why has Denny only got 4 votes :S

Loved Denny, so she gets my vote. Creating that tattoo around her neck must have been a pain for the makeup team each time!
