Sharia Hotel...taking bookings now !
of course the owner has the right to serve or not serve alcohol or any food they wish as its now his Hotel. its obvious that some Gay or lesbian couples will now try to book a room to test the booking policy . If it turns out the hotel refuses to accept their bookings then I can see a court case that the Hotel will lose.
it will be fun to see how the DM deal with this as they have supported Christian B&B's found in similar situations .

However £220 a night for a hotel with a load of cheap and tatty looking market stalls right outside your bedroom window - you really would have to be desperate!:D
Will women be allowed to book in?
The hotel does look horrible though, I agree!
I can't see it being a success myself, but you never know.
"sharia hotel" is not the most unexpected tabloid headline for this.
They don't seem to be refusing anybody, merely stating what is not available.
Well no... but you don't see the Daily Mail listing all the dishes that have gone when a vegetarian restaurant opens in place of meat serving place.... they're clearly pushing the religious angle.
Ofc if they start refusing customers equal service on grounds of sexuality or gender or whatever else can be concocted then they deserve everything they get but it's a bit presumptuous to simply assume they will.
I suppose he hopes to attract holidaying Muslims who want a bit of 'home from home'.
I think they've missed a trick: if the problem is profiting from booze why not sell at cost?
The beer aerates the batter giving a lighter texture. You can also use sparkling mineral water.
No, it'll be more fun seeing which side the new faux left, and human rights industry come out to back. What a dilemma, who to support - gays and lesbians or Muslims and Islam.
No obvious dilemma. IF the hotel were to discriminate against gays (which I doubt would happen), I'd expect the victims of discrimination to be supported.
New faux left and human rights industry - are these avant-garde teetotal music groups?
Yes, I wondered who the "faux left" were too!
Yes it would.
Yes, most culprits and exponents rarely recognise it:D
It's a no-brainer isn't it... if that hotel acts like (for example) that Christian B+B then they deserve everything they get.
In fairness I'm on the genuine left and not with this "faux" lot.
Seems wrong to spring it on people who had already booked in.
I agree... if they didn't get the product they booked they should be given a full refund and helped to find somewhere else to stay.
If that's the worst issue here then it's not to bad.
Probably because you invented it and it doesn't exist!
Sorry, can't take credit for it.
Google it, and have some humble pie.
See, this is why I prefer left-wing people. So much nicer.
well Sir, you could have sausage and mash without the sausage or you could have 'hole' which is our chef's version on toad-in-the-hole......
could I not have egg, beans, fried bread, tomato, mushrooms, fried onion ring and sausage........that's not got a lot of sausage in it.......
