Sky Go poor quality

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knows why Sky Go is such bad quality? My internet connection is not the fastest, but it is sometimes fast enough to stream HD content on Netflix (mostly 3 bars which is still very good quality) and BBC iPlayer. Yet on Sky Go on my Ethernet-connected Xbox it is a pixellated mess. Right now I can't even read the score on the Arsenal Man City game. I can't manually change the quality/bitrate as it is set to Auto. I have just double checked my synced speed and it nearly 4 meg, which is actually better than normal.
Does anyone have anything to say about it? I can't figure it out. Compared to Netflix, Sky Go is a disgrace.
