I'm sorry, but that wasn't funny. It just made me angry.

I liked the way that Nigella Lawson waited for the crowd to quieten down before giving the 12 points to Sweden.

Fuzzy on the exact details but it went something like this: Mirjam (the blond presenter) jokingly complaining about not getting anyone's number, cue guy in the crowd behind passing her his phone.

That was actually a product placement for Microsoft.

She is used the same phone in the semi final

It was? Nicely done then, or not so nicely as it actually looked awkward.

It was an iPhone 5c that was passed to her.

In the opening parade of nations one of the Montenegrin backing singers had the flag snatched out of her hand and she gave Knez a dirty look.

    Hardly an original joke.

That was an awkward moment LMAO a woman asking for a bunch of gay boys for number heh

    Some other epically awkward moment:

Host cutting Makemakes off on Thursday
Hosts trying to have a chitchat about marriage after Krista's announcement during the reveal of votes when the show already overran

Same here, clearly one of the highlights of the evening.

Also, the Danish commentator saying 'Ja tak' (Yes please) to every single entry after it had been performed was quite funny.

Everything I laughed at on the night was down to Graham Norton's commentary -

"I fear some Georgian crows were harmed in the making of this act"

"He said he did something terrible as a boy. It might have been write this song"

"Even in 2015 it's like there's a tin can and string connecting us to some of these countries"

Host: "It's really interesting to see people's emotions when they win"
Norton: "It's not that interesting though is it"

"They're dressed like posh hospital workers from the future"

"It could be excitement, it could be a nervous breakdown, I'm not so sure"

I was also hoping for a country to announce 12 points to a random country after a long pause, for example in 2011, Poland's spokesperson had like a 5 minute pause before giving points to Lithuania:p

Yes :D They can drown the boos, but they can't drown that!!

That wasn't funny really, but total technical blunder... And to happen in Austria of all countries!

BTW, as someone mentioned Krista, in the YLE pre-party bit she was wearing a Trintje-style dress, totally open at the front until waist, I feared she'd wear that on giving the points, but luckily not ;)

I thought that was pathetic, and completely against what the competition is supposed to stand for.

But as you said it is a competition - which means competing... So actually it's completely in unison with what the word competition stands for.

What's pathetic is covering up genuine audience reactions, like booing >:(

I loved those. My other favourite was when he described the Latvian entrant as being like a designer toilet brush. :D

Well if you're going to be that pedantic then I don't think this conversation is going to go anywhere :kitty:

Agree with your second point though, they shouldn't have covered up the booing, even if I did disagree with it.

Graham on the Dutch presenter - "Goodness. Does she know the dress looks like that?"
