Questions for landlords (deposit money)
I am a landlord and like to do things by the book. I know that nowadays you have to register all deposit money with one of the three Government-approved deposit protection schemes within 14 days.
I have been looking through some paperwork today and realised that I forgot to register some deposit money when new tenants moved in in July of this year.
The deposit money is safe - I have no intention of keeping it.
My question is: Should I still register the money immediately, and if so, will I face a fine?
