Wow you're fast! I'm just listening to the breaking news on 5Live!!

I guess after the John Terry situation, it was only going to end one way. And with Redknapp not guilty, the FA wouldn't have been pleading with him to stay, they were more likely to be looking for a way to to get rid of him.

    No surprise.

He's stood up for his principles and doesn't agree with the FA's decision.

I don't think either side will be that gutted

Next England game Feb 29th with Brooking and Southgate as temp manager

So - which top manager will we bring in as the next saviour only to knock them down over a few years to see them quit / resign?

Wonder if he was pushed or did he jump on his own accord?

Stuart Pearce to be temporary manager for Euro 2012? Harry Redknapp offered the job? Or will they try to get Mourinho again.

Shocking the way the FA have dealt with this.

Feel sorry for Capello the way this has ended, he is still a world class manager who's record is up there with anyone.

    What now for Terry?

Presumably his stance on Terry forced the issue. Presumably the FA will ensure the new man sees these things their way.

Went out with his dignity intact - well done Fabio.

I fancy England to get out of the groups now!

Can't see Pearce doing Euro 2012 and the Olympics only for 'Arry to take over.

Spot on. England go from calamity to calamity and Euro 2012 will be no different from the last few. I have respect for Fabio saying up yours to be honest even though I doubt that will be the majority view.

We need someone who can knock that bunch of prima-donnas into shape! Fortunately I'm old enough to have witnessed '66, I feel sorry for all the fans over the last 40 years.

    Yep , good riddance.

If not Redknapp give it back to Hoddle.

Could be a great escape clause for Mourinho if things are really that bad at Madrid.

They've won the League...(imo already) and he could take it temporarily until he returns to English club management.

    Though...poisoned chalice much?
