JJJ United on tour in Oxford.

So we all went to Oxford and the Twit-cam told the tale*
We drank and ate and talked and laughed and Snowflake turned quite pale
And Barbara laughed at UK ways as we caught the park and ride.
And the punting babes with hats askew were watched from river side.

When some arrived on Saturday we found that heads were sore
As those who'd stayed on Friday night had 'drunk' the night before
But all were game to rise above and come back out and play
Apart from Muddy minded who stayed in bed all day.

So we took the bus into the town and wandered through the streets
We even had a nice cream tea, and other tea time treats
Then we left the youngsters shopping as we went back for a rest
Before the evening's big night out would put us to the test.

We taxied to the restaurant and ordered lots of food
From a waitress who was in a mood with manners almost rude.
But we laughed it off and made her work and drank and ate our fill
Then struggled with dividing up the final listed bill.

And Phil went for a ciggie, and proved a theory wrong
She's not who some had thought she was on twitter all along
And talk was of our favourite two and what was coming up
We all knew what we wanted
    to raise the victory cup.

We then queued up to catch the bus and Pumpkin 'did a show'
Which reminded us of someone who we didn't want to know
And Rhiii became the girl in charge of the double decker bus
As she directed all to seats on top with the minimum of fuss.

We got back to our hotel and to room 306
And tweeted out the twit- cam link so all could see the pics.
We were amazed to see who watched and tuned in to our link
They must have thought we'd lost the plot and had too much to drink

And Alma leaned that step too far and gave us all a shock
And Qwerty watched and commented and took someone off block
The tiredness came to some quite soon as we gradually drifted out
To go to beds that beckoned us as needed sleep did shout.

And then on Sunday morning that Cheeky and her crew.
Were not in time for breakfast food or to even have a brew.
But not to worry cos our Jan did organise our lunch
At a nearby pub just down the road, we were a happy bunch

And even John the teddy bear he had a real good time
With Jaffa cakes and *Ribena----blackcurrant never lime
And even Kay though she's moved on seemed happy to be there
We really had a brilliant time---let's go again next year.

Lyn, brilliant as usual. Loved the twitcam. Nice to put faces to names. I have imagined you with short dark hair. You all seemed to have such a good time and hope Barbara enjoyed her stay over here.:)

    Good evening Wendy.

So sad reading about Josie's friend and her battle with cancer. When it touches someone close to us, it brings the reality of things that much closer and puts our priorities, wants and needs into perspective doesn't it. :(xx

It can effect people of all ages Deana, lost my mum in 2003 to bowel cancer, later finding out it's a hereditory gene for which unfortunately I have inherited. Thankfully I didn't pass the gene onto my son or daughter. Someone in their 20's fighting this disease is awful. Really feel for her :(

Life can be so cruel, Wendy.
At least it appears to have shaken Josie into some perspective and that was required and the right outcome here.:)
