You see if Hilary had won, you would not have any of this...Trump bringing people together, it's great :)

That's one (albeit delusional) way of looking at it!

We had PR for Brexit and people are still moaning e.g regions saying 'they' voted against it.

But spoiling the ballot paper would still not have solved anything in the Brexit vote either.

Spoiling a ballot paper is a waste of time.

As far as the popular vote, I'd bet the democratic side would be defending the electoral system from the rooftops if the situation was reversed and it was Clinton in the White House, and Trump had 3 million more votes than her.

    Yeah, about that...

Yeah but the millions were in the same few states. These protests aren't doing anything to convince people in the red states that they made the wrong decision.

Yes but people in red states would piss on people in blue states if they were on fire, and vice versa. Hence the problem with the so called United States, it's only going to get more fractured.

You know how I can tell that the marches were successful?

people are rattled to the point of just doing whatever they can to discount the actions of the marchers, and loudly insisting that it doesn't matter / won't change anything / is disrespectful / is irrelevant / etc etc.

i was at a march, there was amazing unity and solidarity between different racial and religious groups. lots of people coming around, getting people involved in swing district campaigns, women's issues campaigns, immigration advocacy, and on and on.

Exactly. If they don't matter so much why are they still banging on and getting so upset about them? It's hilarious.

That wasn't PR - it was just a straightforward yes/no vote. PR or other alternative vote systems are only of use if there are more than two choices.

The SNP are making a thing about Scotland voting to Remain because it helps their political aims.

Well its up to the libs to stop being so snooty and dismissive of the concerns of people in red states. They have the blue states in the bag, but that isn't enough to win an election. So they need to hold their noses and go and talk to people in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas. And listen to what they have to say, and act upon it.

It could be considered a de facto STV poll... mark your first choice with a cross and leave your second choice blank...

lol - I don't think Trump has anything to fear from these clowns, as they descend into the farcical ;-)

I think you're getting confused between marches ...

Meh. California should just become independent.
