The constant criticism of Tony Hadley by FMs is totally unfair

That's what I thought a few days ago. This is no longer my opinion.
Many apologies to aforementioned FMs. (hangs head in shame).

'I was born on the 2nd so if you don't mind I'll take number 2'

Tony, you ARE a number 2!

It seems to be the one and only thing everyone agrees on.

When I saw the line-up, I would've bet money on Tony winning the series, but he's never really had the opportunity to do much, besides argue with that pretentious old bag. He's not going to win, but I don't think any less of him.

Some of the criticisms are harsh (particularly the obsessions with his weight), but I'm past caring now. :kitty:

I think it's more the opposite, he calmly walks around talking to everyone in a fake disingenuous way. He'll even smile when he's having a violent debate, speaking in a calm friendly patronizing manner, even though he clearly must be very annoyed given the context of what he usually argues about. If he leaves early, I think he'll actually be very surprised.

I don't think he wants to look bad for the camera, but he's very passive aggressive. I sure hope he leaves soon.

And the ironic thing is, the people that have been saying all this horrible stuff about him have been acting much worse than anything Tony Hadley has done.

They are in there for our amusement and/or disdain.

    Completely agree.
I've never liked him, even in my days as a Spandau fan (:D) - always thought he took himself far too seriously and that he was incredibly insincere - I think there's a "side" to him that will come out more and more the longer he's in there.

Yes, but when people make personal comments about someone, (calling Tony fat, for example), that for me is when it cheapens the argument. I've also read comments literally likening him to faecal matter. There's no need for that.
