This is currently getting a rerun on BBC4 after being originally shown in 2009 (original discussion thread here but I wont resurrect that as it is seven years old).
Prof Alice Roberts follows in the footsteps of the first humans to leave Africa.
Although this was shown just seven years ago, and possibly filmed nearer eight years ago, I wonder how the understanding of this "exit" has changed since then taking into account new findings and discoveries - wasn't there a new family of humans found in China mentioned in that programme with Dan Snow and Prof Roberts just last week?
