Given the cuts to the armed services, they probably can't afford boots, so opt for bare feet?

"Cameron Says "No Boots On The Ground In Iraq"

    Yes - what?

    No - what?

    maybe - what?

Yes there will be? Yes I want there to be? Yes it's what Cameron wants?

Do you believe Cameron in what? That there won't be? That it's his honest position?

    What a very unclear poll.

There should be a poll option for "Pizza is Yum."

Maybe not, but how about British bombs being dropped sometime in the near future.

"Boots on the ground" is a very specific phrase which leaves a lot of room to manoeuvre.

The odd thing is that the poll was started after it has been widely reported that boots have been on the ground already

    EH?
    Poll Options
Cameron Says "No Boots On The Ground In Iraq"
    YES
    NO
    MAYBE
    Do you believe Cameron

    Is it just me?..............

"Cameron says no boots on the ground in Iraq"

YES?.... erm well,... Yes he did actually say "there will be be no boots on the ground in Iraq"

NO?..... erm YES actually he DID say "there will be no boots on the ground in Iraq"

MAYBE I think there can be no "maybe" about it, either he DID, or he DIDN'T say "there will be no boots on the ground in Iraq" and he DID, it's on the telly, and in the papers,

DO YOU BELIEVE CAMERON? believe what? I believe he said it, I thought we had established this,

and what am I signifying if I click in the "Do you believe Cameron" option?
that I DO believe him? or that I don't believe him?
I believe that he said it, yes, the evidence is pretty overwhelming, is that the question?

NOT the most nonsensical poll I have seen................ but damn clos............. no, actually,
    it IS,

If there are no Boots on the ground send Mary Portas in - she'll sort out their high streets.

They'll probably just open up a Lloyds Pharmacy instead.

I voted yes, Cameron said there would be no boots on the ground in Iraq.

Not sure why a vote is needed on the issue though.

David's position is always "clear" and his enemies are always "monstrous".

The poll isn't clear, imo. I would have voted :

No, I don't want boots on the ground.
No, I never believe a word Cameron says.

Cameron saying no boots on the ground = We'll be doing some bombing I reckon.

I've no idea what the options mean so even if anyone bothers to vote the results will be meaningless.

Apart from the special forces already there?
Perhaps they are hovering 2 feet above the ground with experimental jetpacks. Or do they not count as troops.

There are boots on the ground already, SAS.

No British Army boots should step on to Iraqi soil without a pledge from the Government that they will be provided with full support in any action they undertake.. Cameron must not dare even contemplate deploying British forces until "Marine A" has his sentence quashed, released with a full pardon, awarded exemplary damages and decorated for his actions in dealing with an aggressive and hostile foe in close quarter combat.

Indeed but "boots on the ground" never includes SAS/SBS as that would involve officially admitting they are there.

I would be very surprised if we do not have boots on the ground - ones with an SAS trooper inside.

What a stupid expression " boots on the ground " .
What it really means is men ( or women ) sent of there to do other people's dirty work and be in the firing line , with possibility of being injured or killed .
But it sounds so much better to say " boots on the ground " .

It sounds like a horrible euphemism by George W.

The SAS wear sandals to blend in, so there are no boots on the ground.
