which at least admits it's to do with BT, where there last message said it was nothing to do with BT
Since the slots that Sky Sports is on is owned by BT in the first place you would have to completely stupid to deny any involvement with BT

BT could just stop offering them ESPN if Top up don't play ball, so B is in the driving seat the whole way
Except TopUp TV owns the UK licence to the encryption system used by it and BT, though we don't know the terms of that licence.

And that's where the competition authorities would start to get interested. And that's where regulatory clearance to the deal comes in. It's not necessary as clear cut as you may think.
The deal is done. End of. There is no compettion issue here at all.
