my closest experience to the BB experience was when I went off to do vipassana meditation. A ten day retreat where we were woken up at 4.00 by a bell and then sat in silent meditation until breakfast at 7.00. More meditation until dinner at, I think 6.00 pm. Then more meditation until bedtime at 10.00 p.m. During this time we were not allowed to speak to any of the other people on retreat, or even make eye contact. Our break from meditation consisted of walking around a well-worn path in this field in the freezing cold. It was the most incredible experience. No smoking. No contact with the outside world. No alcohol etc. Only eating vegetarian food and no conversation. Ten days. When I came out of that place after ten days everything looked so different. Colours were brighter, I was on a high I can't even describe to you. I tell you this to ask you to feel some sympathy for these people... really being shut off then returning to the "real" world is euphoric. It's just BB isn't likely to create spiritual realisations... unless you're that way inclined. My point here in the case of Luisa: she is forging a path for herself based on self-belief and individualism. She's a child of Thatcher.
