Recently got the box sets of the 2005 to 2008 series cheap.
Have got as far starting Series 3.
Doesn't it look weird watching 'New Who' as a VT production, as per the deleted scenes?

Well, you don't need imagination. Alex Kingston has wandered through many films naked. But it would have been a fun scene to have in the show.
So are there any other deleted scenes we know of from recent series? I remember one with Doctor Who and Amy talking about Rory (was it from the Silurians two-parter?).

Also in the Big Finish The Kingmaker it explains that due to a missing comma in the files of (Terry Gilliam's Brazil esque) company that runs everything in the future, Doctor Who's name is Doctor Who, for now and forever. I would love it if Cardiff put a version of that scene into the show, but I guess it'd piss too many folk off.
