The song's ok but the video is hilarious - so pink and cheesy and Robin Thicke looks like a stereotype dad dancer. Does he genuinely know how he comes across and is self deprecating or does he have no clue?
His Give it to Me video was also completely bonkers and just came out all kinds of wrong... (the ass float, beetlejuice jacket, weird dancing food items).
5 Seconds Of Summer - She Looks So Perfect (Absolutely terrible!)
The Vamps - Last Night (Seriously, where do these crappy boybands come from?)
Elyar Fox - A Billion Girls
Duke Dumont Ft Jax Jones - I Got U
Calvin Harris - Summer
DVBBS Ft Borgeous & Tinie Tempah - (Tsunami) Jump
David Guetta Ft Skylar Grey - Shot Me Down
Austin Mahone Ft Pitbull - Mmm Yeah
Pitbull Ft G.R.L - Wild Wild Love
The Wanted - Glow In The Dark
DJ Cassidy Ft Robin Thicke & Jessie J - Calling All Hearts
LIttle Mix - Word Up
Sigma - Nobody To Love
Iggy Azalea Ft Charli XXX - Fancy
Lady Gaga - GUY (Her worst song yet! It's even worse than Alejandro and Judas! She's lost it big time!)
Chris Brown Ft Lil Wayne & Tyga - Loyal
Avicii - Addicted To You
Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down (Absolute tripe! I can't stand her!)
Sam Smith - Stay With Me
The current number one, Sigma - Nobody to Love is awful. I really dislike all this current dance music. Duke Dermont - I Got U etc, it's all so bad
Hmm, i've seen a lot of negativity towards 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps. Neither want to be anything like One Direction. Bands who actually write their songs and play instruments are actually coming back, thank god!

If those two are examples of the standard of "bands" these days, I wish they weren't.

This just sounds like someone who doesn't like pop music In general! I agree with the teen artists, a pitbull and boybands etc but the rest of the list is actually quite good!

I usually do like pop music but some of the recent pop music has been really awful in general and those tracks I listed are prime examples.

I wouldn't say there's much difference between One Direction and The Vamps to be fair. Both groups are involved in the writing process, but they also use plenty of co-writers. In fact they share a few writers like McFly, Wayne Hector, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha. The Vamps might have sole writing credits on a few songs, but then they're not credited at all on two of their three singles (Can We Dance and Last Night). The only big difference is that one is a group of five singers (at least one of whom plays an instrument), and the other has a lead singer and a few guys playing instruments.
Not having a go at The Vamps or anything, I think they're OK. It's that 5 Seconds Of Summer song that really winds me up.
Having listened to it for the first time last night, I am convinced Avril Lavinge's single Hello Kitty will go down as not just the worst song of 2014 but one of the worst ever of all time.

And that's before you even mention the skull-crushingly terrible video! >:(
#SELFIE - The Chainsmokers
What on earth is this bag of washing?! It's just a load of noise masquerading as music and someone talking over that noise. It sounds as though it was made in 5 minutes in Apple GarageBand. Pathetic if you ask me. >:(
Absolutely terrible piece of noise with no redeeming features.
And what kind of name is "the Chainsmokers" anyway? It reminds me
of Mitchell and Webb's "Ted and Peter" sketches.

The video could be the best ever but the song is so bad it wouldn't matter. I am so disappointed Avril never really stuck to the styles on Let Go, Under My Skin, and the better songs on Goodbye Lullaby. She's so talented but seems to be selling out and getting ridiculously lazy.
Adding DJ Snake ft. Lil Jon - Turn Down For What to the list of 2014 charty-bollux.
'Trap' music died a death in 2012 (along with the abysmally naff 'dubstep'), only cannabis-smokin 14 yr olds who wear hoodies & kick bus shelters fink 'trap' is kool, innit?!
The hilarious thing about dibby dibby sound is that according to the song that the sample originally comes from (Rebel mc - the wickedest sound) a dibby dibby sound is a really bad song.

They wish!
It's shit, not music, shit!
They probably failed though.
I don't think they're setting the pop world alight in quite the same way, no.
Probably the most disposable song thus far.
Also another mention for dibby dibby sound and that selfie song.
Pitbull - Timber and Enrique - I'm a Freak. Two boring dance tracks

It will no doubt be number 1 and likely be her biggest hit of her career

Well, "# SELFIE" is certainly " a bad miss"! >:(
