So how long does it take you to get through a boxset?
I much prefer watching shows on dvd rather than watching at tv pace and having to wait each week as i think it's better watching a season all in one go.
Usually it will take me about a week to watch a whole boxset. I just watched The Vampire Diaries season 1 which consisted of 22 episodes in 5 days. But i'm just curious to see how long it takes everyone else? And if anyone has watched a whole boxset in even less time.

What was that show? Not many series have a season with 25 episodes.
I watched the whole of Dexter - Series 1-7 in about 10 days! I was just addicted to it! I had to wait to watch the final episode of series 7 as it hadn't aired yet! Only by half a day but it still.
When working I usually watch on average 1 a day, sometimes none, but sometimes more than once on a weekend.
You really get the essence of a show when you watch it in one go, rather than daily or even weekly.
That was brilliant, wasn't it? I love the song that is played throughout the series, Ashoken Farewell.
I try and ration myself- for example, I got Community Season 2 for Christmas but am limiting myself to 2 eps per day, even though I could race through the whole thing in one day!
sitcoms of 20 minute episodes I assume? 43 minute long episodes I can hardly believe that you can watch those in 1 sitting. That would be 18 hours of watching TV (including disc swapping and breaks)
I usually watch 2 episodes a day. Only for BSG and Fringe I have watched 3 to 5 a day. Usually season finales and then straight after that the first couple of episodes of the new season, because those are the best episodes most of the time and can hold my interest longer.
Indeed, stuff like The Big Bang Theory can be as little as 18mins per ep. [ less taking away those annoying between scenes squirly bits ] so 24 of them in a day is no hardship.
With incessant repeats, I-Player, SKY Plus and every other dowload and recording stratagem is there any need to shell out for a Box Set anyway ?
Same here. I have so much to watch on V+ on a weekly basis and even more now with taping films over Christmas. I don't go back to work until 7th January so I'm hoping to get through a good chunk of my Twin Peaks boxset next week.
The show was LOST
Okay, thanks for satisfying my curiousity.:)
Sometimes I can watch a boxed set completely in one session, but this one isn't gripping me as much as I'd expected, and I did manage to stop quite easily after episode 6. I will resume this evening.
