I binged watched this. I thought it amazing. Jon Voight oozes menace but my favourite has to be Ray's wife. Man, such a bitch.

    Can't wait for series 2.

I'm catching up with season 1 On Demand. Very watchable, and a great cast.

Average. Started well, but became boring mid-way through.

    Shame, considering the great cast.

My favourite new show of last year. I felt it started well and continued to improve, building up to an amazing climax. It will be interesting to see what direction it goes in for season 2 next month.

Only 12 days to wait. So pleased that the wonderful Hank Azaria has joined the cast.

The first season was a real slow burn with Ray as the cold sociopath and his father as the pretending to care sociopath. Hank Azaria is very underrated in dramatic roles, he's a chameleon like Peter Sellers. I think he can show out like Buscemi did as Nucky on Boardwalk Empire if he can really invest deeply in the character.

Is this thread going to be US Pace (Showtime) or UK Pace (Sky Atlantic)?

He'd been drinking and was also high. Add to that some guilt for the death of the Rosanna Arquette character.

Cracking 2nd eps last night, I love John Voight in this and how good did Ann-Margret look! She must be in her 70s?

Season 2 has got off to a great start, roll on next week.

Yup, Sherilyn Fenn from Twin Peaks is aging well.

Wendell Pierce is doing a lot of good character work these days, he was good on Suits as Rachel's father as well.

Hank Azaria is doing well considering he is not as intimidating physically as Liev Schreiber.

I really wish we'd seen what happened in the bar at the end of the first episode. How Ray walked out of there without so much as a scratch...

There's pretty much no way they could have shown it in any believable manner so it was FAR better just leaving it to your imagination. There is no scenario in which walking shirtless into a rough Mexican bar carrying a baseball bat does not end up with you dead from multiple gunshot and knife wounds.

Re: Ann Margret - unbelievable, right? I thought Marilu Henner was holding up well during her stint on Brooklyn 99 but Ann Margret's surgeon must do extraordinary work.

Thought the crack about Sherilyn Fenn from "Ray" was priceless. Is this a spoilers thread? Should change the title either way.

I thought it was Terry who broke off the relationship, yet, he now doesn't want to let it go.

Yeah she did, shame the same couldn't be said for Sherilyn Fenn.

He still wants her but he also doesn't want to be cuckolding her husband or committing adultery, since that's what his dad did. Given what his family have suffered as a result of Mickey, he doesn't want to put another family through that but he can't just turn his feelings off. So unfortunately like Bunchy, he's turning to drinking.
