I *think* it was LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for DS, but I seriously don't remember, it's been that long. I love the feeling of actually buying something from a shop and having it there and then, but to be honest, I find so often that things are cheaper online, even if it's only a pound...:o

Maybe i shouldn't be defensive, but calling people who queue up for something they want 'sheep' is a bit over the top, was the word 'fan' not available?

maybe the kid might have been a fan but the buyer may not so it may not be appropriate to say that

The last game I bought from a shopwas Battlefield Bad company 2 for the PC I usually byu the games I ilke the look of online these days but if I do go anywhere near a computer shop Ido occasionally look to treat myself to a game if it peaks my interest

I bought 007 legends from asda last week, only because i didn't want to wait 3-5 days for delivery.

Usually always get my games online as retail are rip offs.

Always baffles me to see people paying full price in a shop. Posted this sometime ago but thought a similar thing may be useful in this thread...Its a list of sites that highlight the best video game deals going around online.

    SavyGamer
+ Good selection of deals that pop up each day, includes used and ex-rental games
    - Maybe too many used games, only one guy updating it

    HotUKDeals
+ Loads of deals, one of the biggest, busiest UK deal sites
    - Not aimed at gamers, so much stuff its easy to miss the good gaming deals

    Eurogamer Bargain Thread
    + Posts good deals
    - A serious amount of inane banter to wade through

    Vanillaplay
+ Highlights the big new releases, includes tech deals and general store deals
    - Updates are not as frequent as some of the other sites.

    Find-Games
+ A searchable database of current prices
    - Only good if you know what you want and want it now.

These sites update their deals regularly. Use any others? (Or seen any good deals on these sites?)

Deus Ex: Human Revolution last year. And that was only because I walked past it, saw it, wanted it and decided to buy it.

The advent of Steam, thankfully, has meant that shops are largely redundant. And, of course, games can get very cheap in the Steam sales...:o

Royce I do agree, although I'm 95% ebay you always find games way cheaper there to.
