I used to go to school with a guy called Peter Bennett. His mother re-married and she asked the school to list him with his new step-father's surname of, Ennis.
His name is Mike Hunt...if you say it quickly it sounds like my C..t.
Yeah I got that straight away but it was the way you originally said it - We have a friend called Mike Hunt - and so I asked what was special (about your C..t) to want to call someone after it.
Her surname was pronounced B-aired but at school whenever we had a supply teacher they'd pronounce it Bed we'd laugh and you could see they wanted to too! I always felt sorry for Iona she was such a lovely girl but took so much stick!
I once interviewed a man named Forest Hare. I found that hysterical. There was an American showjumper competing the other day named Rich Feller. Talk about nominative determinism!
I remember years ago on the radio they were discussing funny names and the only one I remember being mentioned was (not sure of the spelling of this one but you'll get the gist) Ruby Duby Doo
Yes! I was waiting for somebody to mention her. I remember during a drive to Birmingham airport she popped up on the radio and everybody in the car thought it was the funniest thing ever.
I recall a wall chart on a classroom wall at secondary school listing student names, including someone surnamed, 'Gugliel-Mucci,' which I thought was pretty strange, at the time, although I now know they would be Italian-descended, like the boy surnamned, 'Spadaccini,' which I thought odd at the time.

He even has a university named after him:eek:
Really?? you need to ask?
To name someone after it sounds like it must be something special.
It must have been this fella.
Sandhurst must have a bed of roses.

I think he's called Randy Bumgardner and he's in charge of protocol in the White House.
And I know this is really cr*p but everytime the actor Timothy Olyphant appears on screen we all start singing in unison;
"Timothy Olyphant packed his trunk and said good-bye to the circus,..."
Told you it was cr*p but it makes us laugh
Like:-
"Did that happen sraight away?"
"No, it happened heaps later!"
Sorry, I'm getting tired

I once worked with Peter Hole, he always signed as Peter, never as just "P" Hole.:)
This prompts me to remember that years ago in our local phone book there was a person listed as "Sex DJ"
