Is she the new companion ?

She's the wrong colour. Moffat wanted a black actress.

Why is he calling her Mrs. Lombard if they are high school friends??

(except to keep the twist under wraps)

Yes and yes. If I want formulaic undemanding cliched Hollywood superhero tosh there are any number of these mediocre films available.

I want bloody Doctor Who though >:(

Doesn't Capaldi have the clout to insist on something better than this?

Brain part was scary and brilliant
from there on in its everything that's wrong with the series atm.
Moffat has lost the plot and agree this reeks "made for American audience".

Its just not fair on the fans/viewers cant wait for Moffat to go. So far the Snowmen is still the best Xmas episode for me

Capaldi should just write his own scripts. I don't mind his Doctor, but Moffat should have gone about 5 years ago.

Moffat has always been more interested in second rate, 'romcom' screwball dialogue than stories.

Exactly what I was thinking. This is not prime time BBC 1 Christmas Day material here.

I believe he should have gone with Matt's Doctor, if not after series 6. :wine:

The Doctor continues to be a weak supporting character in the show, exaggerating the trend started by RTD. Why is Moffat still there seeing as he clearly finds the character so tedious, preferring instead soapy crap?
