  That sounds like about the going rate.
  
  I'm slightly confused as to why you expected to receive access to a pay tv platform from the equipment manufacturer, especially since they never implied that access was included in the price.
  
  And isn't your title a little misleading? I thought you'd found some sort of deal.

  Sorry. I thought you bought the box, rang Top up and they sent you a card. Then paid £7.99 a month.

  Well you can do that if you like, but it'll cost the same amount of money.
  
  You have two choices:
  
  1. Buy a starter pack: £27.99, first month included, £7.99/month after that
  
  2. Phone Top Up TV: £20 connection, £7.99/month. Total first month cost: £27.99

  Including delivery, that's only a saving of £4. I'd expect at least a small saving just for buying online rather than in a shop. So it's not a great deal different either.

  Try this from dixons.
  
  Saves you a tenner, as you are able to walk into a shop and pick it up from there, so no delivery cost, and it's even cheaper if you are able to walk there!
