Files missing on TWF Audio MP3 player

A few weeks ago I transferred a number of MP3 files from a computer to an MP3 player (TWF Audio 0.5 Gigabyte). I have since noticed that though when I plug the MP3 player into the USB socket of the computer, I can see (and play) all the MP3 files (which amount to more than 100) not all these (probably 10-20% less) show on the screen of the MP3 player (and thus cannot be selected and played).
The files are from various sources both Internet and ripped from my CDs. There are none with DRM. The player also shows hieroglyphics in the display window for some tracks even though it can play them. I have checked the Tags and they all seem ok.
I have no problems with any of these mp3s when using them with my ipod nano or my Creative Jukebox Zen.
Has anyone any ideas?
The player has a facility to flash upgrade it. Does anyone know where the home website (or the upgrade fles) for this player is? Who are TWF? Tiawan? I have searched high an low but cannot find a home website for this player.
