Priest on BR, it was on the telle the other week, didnt see it from the begining, but really liked the part I saw, so had to get it. Also, having Maggie Q in is great, still a Nikita shaped hole in my heart.
That is a pretty good series. Shame it hasn't been repeated on Yesterday recently.
If you like that you'll like 'Wish Me Luck' on Drama, Thursdays.
I watched Secret Army sporadically back in the day, but didn't really appreciate it fully (not surprising, seeing as I was only 8 or 9 at the time). I watched the entire series on Yesterday or whatever it was called a few years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know that I'm going to watch it several more times (unless I croak first!). I've also recently bought Colditz on DVD, and the same applies to that. Also Danger UXB.
I bought Wish Me Luck on DVD a few years ago. I hadn't seen it before. I watched it all, but I thought the first two series were poor (especially the first series), and I've since sold them on. The third series is more entertaining, but nowhere near as good as something like Secret Army.
Those That Kill - the DVD box set of the original Danish series.
Watching the US remake and all at how they'd cut down the original 2 parters into single 1ers, I had a hankering to see the original again - and now that I've just sniped it I can do just that in 3-5 days.
Tried starting 'The Wire' and struggling to get into it. I've watched 4 episodes and while there's a story, I'm struggling to attach to or invest in any of the characters.
Have always been a fan of Homicide, but have baulked at the price of the set. Saw it for a steal, so it was a no-brainer. It's been long enough that while I retain an idea of the story arcs, the individual episodes have been largely forgotten.
In contrast, these characters jump out of the screen! Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't ignore 'em. Fantastic characters, seemingly enhanced (or at least appreciated more) by the twenty years or so since these originally aired and maybe getting on for ten since I torrented them to make sure I hadn't missed any episodes. Channel 4 was guilty of some really shameful scheduling when this was first aired in the UK.
I'm going to enjoy this re-watching. I have watched five episodes already and the week isn't out yet!
World War Z never saw it in cinema ordered the blu ray extended World War Z and enjoyed it very much.
Total Recall remake seen it in cinema and on dvd many times, ordered the blue ray extended directors cut Total Recall enjoyed seeing the extended version.
The Eagle Has Landed - Two disc extened version, DVD, £1, CeX. I already had the shorter version as a newspaper freebie disc. Looking forward to watching all the extras included on the 2 discer.
The American - DVD, £0.75, CeX. 'George Clooney in Italy' flick. The packaging blurb sounded interesting.
Whilst browsing in the Portsmouth branch of HMV last week, I bought on spec The Haunting of Bates Hotel. Now, I have gambled before buying DVDs of movies which I have never seen, and have been rarely disappointed.
But, dear oh dear, what a loada twaddle this movie turned out to be. Dreadful acting, dreadful script, poor direction, and as much horror as a kiddies programme. Under no circumstances should any of you waste your money on this rubbish!!! You have been warned!

WWZ was ok, but total Recall remake is awful. You couldn't pay me to watch that film more than once. Terribly boring generic remake.

A musical with the late greats Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland
Been slowly collecting Judy garland's films over the last year. Too many of them are either being sold at £20 quid or only available in the states.

It may be old, but it was a great movie at the time, and it is still enjoyable viewing today.
Really? It was the biggest turkey of last year, terrible film.
