Bugger, I was too slow, and the first two were better as well.

Still, who gives a toss, we won the Ashes :D

The Aussies should just forfeit the last test, as it will just be another slaughtering! :D:D

They just don't have the players with the technique to trouble us, they are just all rubbish players! :D:D

Just had at mental flashback of the legendary Brian "Johnners" Johnston who, if comentating at that moment would have bellowed:

"It's the Ashes, it's the Ashes.......England have won the Ashes......"

'Joey Benjamin! Alan Mullally! Martin McCague! Peter Such! Your descendants gave the Aussies one hell of a beating!!!'

The odd thing is before those wickets fell, I was a bit bored so I thought I'd look on the Guardian Digital Archive to see how they reported the last England Ashes win on Aus soil, and it's eerily prescient; you just need to change the names and it accurately describes the situation 24 years on:
England yesterday retained the Ashes in Melbourne with their quickest victory over Australia since 1934 and their first three-day victory in that country for 85 years.

After England had routed Australia for 194 in their second innings to win by an innings and 14 runs, the Australian captain, Allan Border, said: "I must keep hanging in there. I am determined to see it out."

"This is as good an England side as I have played against, but I am numb and disappointed. I don't know where we go from here."

After the man of the match, Gladstone Small, had taken the final catch, England's captain, Mike Gatting, said: "Australia erred by playing only four specialist batsmen. They relied too much on bits and pieces players."

Just trying to remember what I was doing 24 years ago. Probably listening to TMS under the bedsheets at home.

I was probably doing something else under the bedsheets 24 years ago as well but I don't think it was listening to TMS...;)

No it's not, Nass, it's the worst Australian side for 25 years.
