Aww, I'm glad no one's leaving.

Which one is this? How long has it been going?

This is only the first week so you haven't missed much.

I cannot sew at all but I adore beautiful fabrics. Have you ever been to Liberty's? I could just wander around there grazing at the fabrics for hours!

    Having a nibble in Liberty's :o

I agree! I'd wear it. Never watched this before. Was channel surfing, glimpsed Patrick (!) and thought I'd see what's what

I found the original thread earlier today, but then Hotgossip started a new one, so there are two on the go at the moment. I have asked the mods to merge them.

Sorry about that. I looked down quickly and couldn't find sewing bee thread so started another. ;-)

They said he began to feel unwell and couldn't continue. Hopefully nothing serious, but they didn't say anymore.

That was lovely, although I'd have made Chinelo's nightie garment of the week.

I have a free day tomorrow, I may need to spend it in a fabric shop.

    First episode this evening.

Linda is hilarious. Loved her excitement at Patrick having her pyjamas on.

Really enjoyed that as expected. See you all next time :)

It probably would've been if she'd finished it. It was gorgeous!

I am on my IPad and I have to say that the predictive text is anything but helpful. I should just switch it off, but I am too lazy/stupid to find out how to do it.

No need to apologise! I don't know why but I have found threads more difficult to locate recently.

I am hoping mods will tidy things up to avoid future confusion. :)

it fascinates me that people who have only been doing this for a couple of years can compete with others who have been sewing for years and they do

It was divine, I'd have spent all day just swishing around in it, feeling fabulous

someone came to the door, when I came back he'd gone. Shame for him, but I don't think he'd have lasted past the first week anyway.

Someone tell Claudia that the triangular insert in a skirt is pronounced "GO DAY" not "GOD ET". Surely her years on Strictly would teach her that?

I think he was out of his depth to be honest. I wonder how he managed to qualify for the programme in the first place as I should imagine there were plenty of people who had more sewing ability than he has.

I loved Chinelo's nightie, and the one which won garment of the week. I do love a lace overlay :D
