  Mine goes straight in. Takes maybe a second or two.

  same here, I'm sure it would be faster if we could see exactly where the disc input is

  I've never actually timed mine but it doesn't seem to take overly long, about the same as my Xbox One and the PS3 I used to have come to think of it. 3-4 seconds doesn't seem anything to worry about.

  Sometimes mine is a bit slow taking the disc in, I just give it a shove on its way to speed it up.

  A little bit tbh I have to give mine a shove like the poster below said . It always goes in just a bit slow sometimes do you think I have anything to worry about ?

  Mine's never done anything like that. If the OP's problem is the same it could be a faulty disc mechanism that may stop working altogether eventually.
