...but I have to fire someone, and therefore choose the weakest.
To say the project manager lost the plot was ridiculous...Lord Sugar, You're Fired!

Had they made a loss, now that would have been funny! "You bought tat and made a loss?"
I'd be gutted if I only made £50 a day!
"Hey, let's pretend we're from the public!"
£700 isn't that good divided by the number of team members employed and the time taken. Also it would be hard to make a loss on this task, but Laura's team did their best by "upcycling" so much.
One team has to make less profit and therefore fail, by dint of not winning. Happens quite regularly on the show.
That was shown on the actual show. I was expecting it to come up on 'You're Fired' but it didn't. I then wondered if I'd dreamt it. Glad you saw it too
I thought Laura or Gabrialle should have been fired, not Jane.
So Jane has gone and Maria also went. Those two have very successful businesses. Was Lord Sugar afraid of them?
It has nothing to do with performance in the task, Sugar knows who he wants now and as soon as the opportunity arrises he uses it, Jane last night and Jenna as soon as she is up next I would guess. I think that Jane has been rubbish all the way through and deserved to go anyway.
Do you think Lord S genuinely decides early on? I have always wondered. My thought is that he makes a judgement on who he definitely DOESN'T want, but leaves the rest to unfold, but who knows
I thought he let Laura off lightly, too. He's never liked Jane which was a shame because I think she is a business star but then she was never really going to abandon her food business, was she? I don't think Maria was exactly in the same category with one restaurant! And I don't think Lord S would have been remotely interested in that area.
We don't know how much of the task footage LAS actually sees. I suspect he actually watches very little, if any ,and just relies on what Karen/Nick say and then goes on what he gleams form his boardroom interactions. Also more often than not the teams are split into two sub-teams so Karen and Nick only see half of what goes on as well. and I doubt they bother to watch back footage either.
I'm pretty sure the production crew report back, as well as Nick and Karren.
