do they all live there for the duration of filming?

if so why isnt there a big brother type show going on on most days and keep the business for the regular show?

Because that isn't what The Apprentice is about? It does have to retain a business element and most candidates wouldn't sign up if they knew that everything they did would be aired.

they wouldnt have to show all the shower scenes and cooking and stuff...would just be interesting to see them relaxing/arguing about the TV remote and stuff
more footage of them all after they walk in after someone being sacked, and more footage of the reward the winning team gets to go on when their team wins , and some 'diary room' interviews with the candidates talking about how they are getting on

i didnt mean film them 24/7

The Irish version of the show does have one, but it's a once a week sister program (along with You're Fired) rather than a daily or live feed type of thing

    for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBUrbZf2PuQ

Just to be clear, this is for the Irish Apprentice show, I didn't mean they have a behind the scenes on Alan Sugar's crowd of wannabes - rather they have it for Bill Cullen's crowd

If you've never seen the Irish version of the show, I'd really recommend seeking it out

Tasks are filmed virtually back to back, so we have roughly 3 days per hour episode instead of 1 day for BB. It's not that far off. Arguably the tasks are also the most interesting part of BB (watching them sleep, or sunbathe, becomes dull after the first month or two), so The Apprentice is like all highlights.
