Bit rich for Ed to be pretending to care about the people of Syria

Ed is going for his "act like a grown up" act. It doesn't usually last long.

Keeping the idiotic Balls out of camera shot is helping him to look like a serious politician.

Miliband has decided to use all six questions on Syria. He says that the HoC dealt with the matter in a calm and mature way.

That's not how I recall it.

Miliband still banging on about bringing the warring parties together.

I don't like Dave, but he has some passion when he's talking. Ed is so stiff.

It's a welcome development that the military tributes at the start of PMQs are few and far between these days, none over 6 weeks of summer.

    Yes, a massive relief.:)

What is Ed trying to do here?

Sounds like EM is trying to set up a peace summit or something. Maybe he'll go along and sing kumbaya.

Cameron says that he did not think it was necessary to divide the House on such an important matter.

This is in response to Miliband's claims that there was general agreement last week.

I don't recall any agreement at all.

They said "Only Nixon could go to China". Maybe only Ed can go to Damascus.

Hmm interesting, lots of Labour MPs standing up are suddenly fans of the Iranian government.

You can tell Cameron is furious with Labour. Barely looked at them during the exchanges.

Labour are morons if they really think Iran are the key to sorting out this Syrian mess.

Labour seem to have nothing left to talk about except Syria. Can't talk about the Economy because it's on the up.

Yes I was trying to remember if he normally looked away as much as he did during his replies to EM. He barely looked at him.

So to put it in perspective, Cameron jumped the gun as far as a vote on Syria was concerned, lost the vote ( even his own MP's voted against him) and now he's behaving like a petulant child by ignoring Miliband.

I like how Ed was looking sideways pretending to talk someone because he knew the PM was about to ask if he'd reverse it. Made me smile

Great thread so far today guys. All that build up of Anti-Ed comments by the Tory flashmob here, all setting the scene to dismember him at 12.00 and it instead became a borefest and you all sound so hangdog as a consequence. All six questions on Syria- tut tut, how appalling of him! ;)
