  I'd be inclined to suggest that the KD part of the second one is a misprint, as far as I am aware sets with KD were usually KDL (for LCD sets) - and I'm pretty sure that there had never been an LCD with the DX51 suffix. If the part you need is being shown on catalogue somewhere against the KD model number, I reckon you'll find that its the part you need.

  if only it was being shown on a catalogue.. I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to locate the part I require.. These TV's must have been like hen's teeth.Have seen pics of both tc's an but for a small line of writing along the bottom front they look identical.

  I was surprised that your local Sony Centre couldn't help. Sadly though, some of these are more helpful than others - bear in mind that they are not owned by Sony, they are small independents that have simply chosen to specialise in Sony product.
