just had a cup of tea & I am now beginning to feel human again, which is a good job because the wife has just announced she wants to go to London to choose her birthday pressie
Meh I think I have the flu. Just had a lemsip, have to meet my daughters dad he is having her over, I'll pick up tyrozets, hopefully they still sell them, then back to bed..yuck.
Took the kids on a treat day yesterday. Took them to the swimming baths a two hour drive away. I phoned before hand to check opening times and that everything was OK to conduct a visit. Now, on previous visits to our local swimming baths we have had some bad luck with other poor parents not doing enough to prevent toddlers doing pool poo's and the lifeguards hurriedly evacuating the pools, so they can commence a full draindownn scrub and re-fill. On my way up i started to worry about this but my wife put my mind at rest as being a playing pool set up they would have less dramatic ways of dealing with this, as a full shutdown would surely have to greater financial consequences.
Anyway long story short got there, found again that some poor parent had not taken the proper measures and the pool had been evacuated and was not going to open again that day.
I think the time has come for some sort of parent insurance system to mitigate this. The pool would have lost about a thousand pounds of business yesterday. I had a four hour drive for nothing.
I'm having a new kitchen put in this week and have to pack everything away and clear the room. I've got something called 'frozen shoulder', which is agony and all I want to do is sleep and rest, because it keeps me awake at night. I keep telling myself I'll do it all later, and now 'later' is getting too near!
I work in IT support and this weekend it's my turn to be on-call. So it means I can't make any plans as i've got be available to deal with any problems should they arise.
