I'm liking Samira. She is a feisty one :D

Last night whilst discussing the OTT baby coverage, although she didn't really get an answer from the BBC guy, you could tell by her questioning and her tone that she though she was being fobbed off with the replies.

The programme is far better since the obsequious Snoddy was given the push.

So what's the point of a change of presenter if it still gets no results?

    Why?
And yet still has some people complaining about nothing and expecting a proper answer :(

    Too many to mention.

I spend most of the time whilst watching it thinking "yeah but it's not all about you and what you want, is it?"

Pretty-much like these forums then, really ;):p:D

    Almost all of them?

Whenever anything is done it will upset someone, just because they sound forthright doesn't make them right.

I really think the BBC should just stop the programme sometimes.

A BBC admin person said to me once ''Life would be so much easier if we didn't actually have to put out programmes'':D

Samira is interviewing a man from NI and you can clearly see she is not looking in the same direction as where the screen is supposed to be superimposed.

    Bad graphics going on here.

Newswatch is supposed to be a programme about BBC News. The Nolan Show is produced by BBC NI current affairs and nothing to do with BBC News.Is Newswatch trying to morph into Points of View ?

And most of the Uk wouldnt be aware of the show normally anyway.

Nolan is known as a 5Live presenter to most people.

The clip they showed was pretty meaningless because they didn't explain the context. Empire building ?

Its even worse now, last week had two old dears complaining they "Couldnt hear the words", and this week the NI bit was of no interest, come back Snoddy, all is forgiven.

If Newswatch is going to start covering non-news regional programmes it will be of no interest to about 99% of viewers. Surely there are other forums where the regions can be dealt with, do any of them have feed-back programmes of their own ?

It did seem a bit random, I wonder if an NI viewer had written in to Newswatch about the programme?

I know he was a BBC suit but Samira was less than polite to the interviewee. I assume we will now be getting items on Scottish and Welsh opt-outs which the vast majority of viewers have not seen. It would have made more sense if they'd explained what it was all about. Perhaps we could have a separate edition of Newswatch which only deals with local programming - and show the programme in question before the interrogation begins.

No, I liked Ray but Samira is much better. I enjoyed her and the man from the NI programme trying to out talk each other.

I can only remember seeing a man get up from the audience and put a piece of paper on the desk they were sat at, followed by one of the guests moaning about what had happened. Not exactly a patch on one of those foreign programmes where they start throwing water at each other.

I see they made no mention of Karishma Vaswani and her cretinous bullying of the woman sentenced to death in Bali

Perhaps next week they will turn their attention to S4C News which is produced by the BBC - should be interesting to 99.99% of the audience to hear a few clips in Welsh. Then there's always BBC Alba News.

Our favourite 10 minutes of the week. Not for the content but for the never to be failed to be amused by what trivial matters irritate joe public. The perfect platform for Mr Angry from Tunbridge Wells.

I think deep down it is just so Mr and Mrs Bell End can show off their new conservatory on TV.

But you are right it is hilarious Tv, I just wish all broadcasters would have a similar shows.

There does sometimes seem to be the old case of somebody complaining and thinking they speak for everyone by saying "WE don't think this is newsworthy"
