This is her new song from The Pink Print album and it's actually not too bad but does sound really bonkers though.

EDIT - I actually like it now, it's much better than Pills N Potions :D:D

Lol, Drake looks like his soul has been ripped from his body. I know the feeling.

    This was a fun video.

An absolute cringe bag of a song

She does a stunning song like Pills and Potions and then follows up with this crap. Clearly the Silly Ho of this era.

The single artwork is horrible as well. We get it Nicki. You have a big ass.

I don't get the obsession with ass/arse/booty/bah donk donk/whatever in music videos these days. If everyone just reminded themselves about what comes out of it, would they still find it so appealing? It has a hole! The song is awful, I've got a few Nicki Minaj tunes on my MP3 player but this is awful, worse than bees in the trap. It's all getting a bit silly now isn't it, style over substance, leaving nothing to the imagination. Pff I must be getting old.

Haha I was about to add that she is pretty much morphing into Lil Kim as each release comes out. Their has yet to be a half decent female rapper, and if Nicki is the current best, then its all shit. Sex sex oh look I have a nice arse. Great one love, only I have the internet so can see a million arses all day long if I so wish, I am not impressed.

The cover to the single looks exactly like the cover to a porn dvd, the video is ridiculous. What happened to just being sexy without resorting to the porn aesthetics, Nicki minaj fans are 90% under the age of 25 and she is marketed as a mainstream artist, she was a judge on a show that has a huge pre-teen/teen audience and young girls idolise her, these same kids don’t need to hear big d1cks, how guys only want girls with big butts, tossing salads and molly, i just wish Nicki minaj would figure out who she wants her audience to be and stick to that. I know men make some crass sexual music as well but you won’t see 2 live crew and sir-mix-alot have a huge marketing campaign or teaming up with the latest pop star and performing on X-factor.

never been a half decent female rapper? what about lauryn hill, roxanne shante, queen latifah, missy elliot, mc lyte etc. And currently i would say the best is Jean Grae she kills it on every verse but she has no radio play in the current climate because she's not backed by a major, dosnt take her clothes off and she actually has some substance and a message so she's kept underground. But she still has a big and loyal fanbase so she sells out shows everywhere with zero airplay just on the strength of her music, talent and personality.

I really like it actually, seems a bit tongue in cheek, I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously.

That's an issue that has obsessed a few psychologists over a long time. However, you can't argue with the nature and objects of human desire. The whole female form as a thing of beauty and desire is well established. It also reminds us that the leptosomic females traipsing down the catwalks aren't the desirable types.

Although your comment about the males seems an afterthought at least it is there. There is an inherent sexism in all this criticism of when women show off why there are attractive. I suspect you are referring to soft core porn aesthetics rather than hard core which this video definitely isn't. This is women on display, what's new, threatening or ridiculous about that? It's in an artistic context, it's even quite humorous. It's quite tongue in cheek to me. Teenagers are exposed to much worse in reality.

Completely agree, particularly with the BIB. I think Nicki's doing what she's often done, which is owning her body, owning her sexuality in a really brash, tongue-in-cheek yet almost antagonistic or perhaps challenging way. And I love it personally. I love that she uses so many of the tropes of countless sexist male rappers (and by taking Sir Mix-a-lot's song she's doing that in a pretty literal way) and kind of turns them on the head to say by the end of the video, 'Yeah, well maybe I don't want your anaconda' and leave Drake crying on a chair. Not to say that some of her stuff doesn't come with its problems but I enjoyed this.

And she's hot as are her dancers :p.

It was my daughter who said how much more attractive she looks these days.
I agree with all you say. Smart, good-looking and takes a few risks...a much improved artist.

I don't want to get into a debate about how men and women are portrayed in music videos if she wants to shake her butt like a a stripper and make songs about butts and dicks fine…im not saying theres not a place for that theres a lane for everything, but that lane should not be the mainstream. What i find questionable is the fact that its a pop star who's majority audience is pre-teen/teenage girls and nicki minaj and her marketing team know this. The overriding image she is putting out there to her audience is not an empowering one, its a slutty one.

She isn't turning anything on its head,i don't feel nicki needs to do this at this point in her career she must be nervous because they are trying to replace her with iggy. I’m having trouble figuring out why this song even exists. It borrows too heavily from baby got back to be a great pop song in its own right, and Nicki’s lyrics aren’t good enough for it to be a fresh modern update or alternative. Basically there is no scenario I can imagine in which I wouldn’t rather listen to Sir Mix-a-Lot's version, which was already a tongue in cheek novelty record, so what is minaj's version a novelty of a novelty?

Different strokes. I've always despised the Sir Mix-a-Lot song. Interestingly enough, that bit of unabashed male gaze-y sexism has often been held up as an example of a full-bodied women-appreciating anthem.

Look, I don't think Nicki should write any feminist treatises any time soon. I don't expect that of any pop (or any other genre) music. But I like her brash, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic and that she chops bananas and tosses them away like so much trash (that's not even a subtle metaphor) in her videos. A lot of people won't like it. But I think that's also part of her intent and her persona -- the controversy, making something people talk and argue about ad nauseum even if it's not that serious. Something artists have done forever and a day.

She's not nervous of anything. Iggy may have one-and-a-half hit singles to her name but her album sales don't hold a sputtering candle to Nicki's. Not to mention Iggy's rather mediocre rapping skills, but that's another story for a different day.

I dont like the sir mix-alot one either, Its not like anyone was clamouring for a new spin on it..one version is more than enough. Its only considered classic because of its notoriety and its era (waifs, heroin chic were the look of the time). Its interesting that you feel his version was sexist but when nicki rehashes it 20 years later then its tongue in cheek and fun.

I know a lot of people, when they don't like a song, like to over-exaggerate or hyperbolise and say "OMG worst song evar!!" but I think this is genuinely one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my life.

And I'm no Nicki Minaj hater. I quite enjoy songs like Your Love, Starships and Super Bass, but this is just...not good.

There's no contradiction here at all. Nicki can be tongue in cheek, she can be funny about was supposedly a funny video in the first place. In fact she does it quite well. I think she's being herself if a little toned down. You should be on her back if she portrayed herself as something she's not. Can the bawdy or naughty be mainstream? Of course it can. And I think you are underestimating the understanding of the late teens audience who might follow Nicki Minaj.
