Perhaps he resigned to take charge of New York City, what with their tie up with the Yankees, they would love their manager to be used to wearing a baseball cap!
Be ironic if they get a manager who plays football the "right way" but then go down.
I think that is a real possibility. Pulis and Allardyce take a lot of flack for their playing style but they play to their teams strengths and I think that if a new manager comes in and tries to get Stoke playing like Arsenal that it may be trouble.
Don't type things like this Bill might right read it and think its a good idea lol.
There was an ex Everton player on the radio this morning saying that the "word" coming from inside the club , was that they will promote from the ranks.
Neville plus Stubbs or the other way around maybe ?
Incredibly despite being there less than a year Rodgers is the 5th longest serving PL manager (6th if we include Cardiff after their promotion).
Arsène Wenger Arsenal 1 October 1996 16*years, 232*days
Alan Pardew Newcastle United 9 December 2010 2*years, 163*days
Sam Allardyce West Ham United 1 June 2011 1*year, 354*days
Martin Jol Fulham 7 June 2011 1*year, 348*days
Malky Mackay Cardiff City 17 June 2011 1*year, 338*days
Brendan Rodgers Liverpool 1 June 2012 0*years, 354*days

So Wenger has more top flight managerial experience with his current club than the rest put together,
Comments
Yes, a years notice by all accounts.
Phil Neville is different though, he'd genuinely take the Everton job.

Rodgers?
What about Moyse?
At one club....
Why dont liverpool, who love him, sack brenda and get him back?
Actuallly would not be shocked to see this happen tbh.

So Why Rodgers ?
What's the point of him signing such a long term contract then ?
Fresh blood , fresh ideas plus loads of contacts in the game .
I'd love to see the Neville brothers in joint charge .
Its a PL list and that's where he is on the list hes been at Liverpool longer than Moyes at Man United
