Anyone think that young blonde Charles in his blue coat, looked like William at that age??

Yes, the footage of him as a baby, looked the spit of William as a baby when Charles and Diana took him to Australia.

And they bring in more revenue to the country than they cost us. And only cost a tax payer 62p a year

    Does that include security costs?

They've lasted well over the years, the quality of what he was showing is pretty decent

I think they've cheated with this & cleaned them up before they were shown or they would have non stop little dots showing all the time.

Zara is so like her mother Ann as a youngster.

Ann had really curly hair ...... do we suspect she straightens it these days?

Very nice programme. I particularly enjoyed the Holkham beach scenes as I go there regularly, and actually Charles was wrong in saying it is much more crowded now. It's a long walk from the nearest place you can leave a car, which tends to put most people off. I was there last week and there wasn't another person in sight for much of the time.

I wouldn't be surprised, they did look surprisingly vivid and unspoilt

It was really insightful and it's a shame that they've never released footage like this previously. Quite sad seeing him tearing up in silence seeing the funeral of Lord Mountbatten.

The Sir Winston Churchill and Lady Churchill footage was particularly funny. :D

    Seemed like great days.

Charles is coming across really well , He is starting to become one of my favorite Royals

And if he's got over his tampax fixation I guess he's just about perfect.

And of course, God bless Liz Saxe-Coburg.

Really enjoying the programmes so far.

I feel for the Queen, I wonder if she ever wishes that her Uncle hadn't have abdicated?

    Indeed

I can't stand watching an obviously happy family spending time with each other lovingly.

    Makes me ill.

I have German blood in my family who laid down their lives for the British in two World Wars and I'm proud of the fact!

Loved this. Reminded me of my Grandad when he talks about things in old photos.

Have to say the last segment about King George VI almost had me welling up - especially when the footage of the Queen on the plane appeared.
