    I can't work out if its a fake account or not. The "I'm touched part" makes me doubt its real as surely that is trolling everyone and seeing how much abuse he has got?

    Someone was bored... made a wind up account that would enrage the masses... got PM to tweet them and bingo trending on twitter.

    I cannot believe the real GG would have the guts to tour... probably couldn't afford the amount of security he would need either.

    Yes, I did know that. I was meaning, if it was him, why's his Twitter account not verified for? I said in General Discussion that it wasn't verified so it probably wasn't him.

    Celebrities don't automatically get verified just because they're celebrities.

    Bret "Hitman" Hart from the WWE isn't verified on Twitter and it's quite clearly the real person.

    There is absolutely no way that Glitter is going on tour. No management would risk the backlash by backing him and even if he were to fund it himself, no venue would be prepared to compromise or pay the extra security.

    He tried to go on tour the UK some years ago after he'd been released from prison. The plan was for him to play the university circuit.

    Fortunately, all the student union presidents stood together and said there was no way they would consider booking him, so the planned tour never took place.
