Besides the Carters, do you think most of his new introductions are deadwood and will be cleared out by a new producer? I'm not talking about his old creations like Roxy, Ronnie, Kim ect, but I think that his newest introductions like Donna, Les, Pam, Kush ect are all deadwood and will be easily cleared out.

I'm very fond of Kush as a character. A lot of potential as an "Ordinary Joe" type of character, but also capable of holding his own in the big dramatic moments. Just because he hasn't had his big moment yet doesn't mean he is deadwood. The same goes for the rest.
Vanessa Gold (Kirkwood character) could've been iconic if she wasn't just used as a plot device to get Max and Tanya back together. She was like the next Chrissy Watts. If Zoe Lucker's HO's stint ends quickly, I'd love for DTC to reintroduce her. I could see Vanessa causing all kinds of trouble for the Carters in the Vic, potentially smashing up the bar in her classic fit of rage. Mick could just get out the bubbly from the fridge and it would be like a red rag to a bull. We never know what happened to her next when she left in 2011 anyway.
Agree about Newman not creating any truly memorable characters, although Kirsty, Jake and Danny were underrated and should've probably been kept by Dom.
Same goes for Donna i was little skeptical at first as she didnt really do anything but it seems like we are getting alot from her in coming weeks
then we get to the likes of Lee he had wraths of potienal to start with but if im honest he could disappear off screen without an explanation and i wouldnt really notice its a shame when you see certian character and you think "they are going to be good" and they just do nothing and go nowhere
Exactly
The Carters are obviously DTC's babies and nothing will change until he leaves or decides to make use of an ensemble cast where everyone gets their fair share of the spotlight. That said, I like them as characters, except for Lee who is slight deadwood IMO.
I've really warmed to Kush and Aleks. I was indifferent to Kush early on and hated Aleks at the start. Now they're two of the more underrated characters.
I like Charlie but hate the direction they're taking him in.
I'm trying to like Donna, but each time she's nice she then ruins it by being a nasty cow. Les and Pam are alright background players, although Claudette should be interesting and so would the exploration of the Paul Coker character in the future.
Linda, Mick, Nancy, Lee and Babe seem like characters that have come out of a badly written sitcom. Shirley and Stan are the only fleshed out characters out of that family unit.
I would like to see more of Donna, Kush, the Cokers and Aleks. Less screentime for the Carters would be ideal for me. Wishful thinking I know.
Kush is a diamond in the rough and I already really like him. Donna, Les and Pam are supporting characters at their best, generally not doing anything too spectacular but popping up every now and then with their own story or alongside a key player to make sure their characters don't stagnate. Pam particularly is one of my favourites as I think she's incredibly sweet!
Apart from Thursday's (more to do with the writing though) I have quite enjoyed seeing the background characters. The Pam and Les stuff is looking interesting now and I'm liking Kush. Donna has her moments, but I don't think she is that bad especially when she is in the background a lot, these types of characters are important. Aleks I didn't really like at the start but have really started to enjoy him aswell now.
Carters and Charlie are his best ones. Maybe just tone the Carters down a little. They don't have to be involved in everything and at some points I think they have been in certain scenes just for the sake of it. I really like them though. Love Charlie but he has had a miserable couple of months. I'm hoping that they have some good stuff for him and not just this stupid love triangle which I am hating. I loved the mysterious Charlie and I wonder if there is anything more about him that they will explore
I think it was a mistake having Charlie as a fake cop - I actually would gave really liked him as a real one. The stupid love triangle nonsense has ruined him for me though - I used to really like him but sadly he clearly is just a spineless toad when things get tough.
I'm really liking Kush and the Cokers have potential. I don't like Donna but that's more because I don't really rate the actor.
The only character that really needs to go is Alfie as he is beyond redemption - he is pointless away from Kat and she is so much better away from him. I'd also question what else they can do with Billy and Fatboy and maybe even Max, who has been my favourite character in the past but is a bit lacking in direction now.
Yes some of the newer characters are underdeveloped but they are not deadwood and could be explored anytime. The cokers finally have some sort of story and donna history is going to be explored. Charlie and aleks are quite successful and the carters have just received far to much of the attention (well mick and linda)
His wife and Son almost died. Wife still not woken properly. His dad caused the accident, his mum betrayed him by her siding with Nick over him. Dad dies and now Grandma in prison. I'm not sure how else he was going to react? Like I said he has been miserable but it's understandable. I just hope things are going to start moving forward now, starting with Ronnie finally waking up
Linda is the same imo. Donna is supposed be bitchy and hard to get on with and could become a soap bitch if she's used more. Linda isn't supposed to be like that and she fustrates me a lot more. Donna could be a love to hate character but linda is just a snobby two faced bitch with are the worst types of people.
Agreed! Like I've
Mentioned she could easily become a soap bitch
