B&Q King's Lynn is on an industrial estate which itself had no roundabouts until Sainsburys moved there last year. But B&Q is quite distant from the nearest roundabouts.
B&Q Wisbech is on a small retail park reached by a T-junction, which itself is often blocked by queues tailing back from the A1101/A47 roundabout junction.
For some reason B&Q seem to have an obsession with roundabouts ever since someone pointed it out I have been noticing it. Every B&Q I have seen is next to a roundabout and in retail parks there is a roundabout just outside the park.
Do you know of a B&Q currently open on a daily basis that is not next to a roundabout???
There used to be one in Aberdeen that was not next to a roundabout but that is now Matalan.
I wouldn't know personally, as I can buy most of the things that B&Q sell at Screwfix, which are part of the same company, but cheaper.
Seems the OP's theory has, in fact, been disproved - some B&Q stores are near roundabouts, whilst others are not.
Sounds to me that, as a responsible retailer, B&Q need to review their roundabout proximity policy as a matter of urgency and ensure that it is implemented consistently across all its stores. I for one shall be writing to their head office requesting that they address this issue. In the meantime I will take my DIY custom to a competitor with a clear road layout strategy.
Many B & Q stores are located close to railway stations. I work aboard trains and announce the imminent arrival of my train when i pass B&Q at Sheffield, Wakefield, Chesterfield. Theer are other too
There's one in Wandsworth (Smuggler's Way) which is quite near a large roundabout but you don't have to access it via the roundabout - it depends on the direction from which you approach it, so this one is both a yes and a no.

Our local Homebase is though.

The arrow points towards the doors which does say 'in and out' on them and so making the 'do not enter' sign correct
Bury St Edmunds B&Q.....No.....

Why??
You make a very good point. Theory of B&Qivity still works.
The Purley way one, now I agree, that certainly meets the criteria. Complete with a semi-permanent traffic jam too.
That's the one near the big IKEA isn't it?
Neither's Skipper's Lane
Aye - chimneys 'n' all.
I know the chimneys! They're always the first sign of IKEA from the road.
