Yes, Up still sounds refreshing and bouncy even now. I feel also, having liked some subsequent songs of theirs even more, that Up represented the launch of an unusually promising pop group.:)

I think it's probably the most recognisable Saturdays song.

    Madonna - Ray of Light
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
Simon and Garfunkle - El Conda Paso

three totally different songs but for three totally different reasons.

Ray of Light is such a great feel good song. Try ironing to it! Makes the chore much more bearable!

Brothers in Arms is just eternally haunting and melancholy. Sends shivers down my spine everytime.

El Conda Paso is just a fantastic singalong song with such a beautiful melody.

Too many to mention - most of Madonna and Prince's songs.

At the moment I'm listening to David Joseph's 'You Can't Hide (Your Love From Me),' which I've probably listened to at least once every few days the last couple of weeks. Very early 1980s production but something about that groove is addictive listening to me.

    Freeez - Southern Freeze
Randy Crawford - Rainy Night in Georgia
George Benson - Love X Love
    War - Galaxy
Brothers Johnson - Strawberry Letter 23
    Blondie - Picture This
The Jam - The Dreams Of Children
    The Ruts - Babylon's Burning
The Jags - Back of My Hand
Squeeze - Take Me I'm Yours / Pulling Mussels/ Tempted
The Motors - Forget About You
Thin Lizzy - Waiting For An Alibi
Elvis Costello - Watching The Detectives
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Satisfy My Soul

    Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy
Haircut 100 - Love Plus One
Big Country - In A Big Country
Billy Idol - Eyes Without A Face
The Beatles - Things We Said Today/ Two of Us/ 'Till There Was You
    Wings - C Moon
    John Lennon - #9 Dream
Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower
    The Turtles - Elenore
Carole King - It Might As Well Rain Until September

Finley Quaye - Even After All
    Air - All I Need
Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
Omar - There's Nothing Like This
Jamiroquai - Alright/ Too Young To Die
    Richard Marx - Hazard
Belinda Carlisle - Circle In The Sand
The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Soul II Soul - Keep On Movin'
    Loose Ends - Don't Be A Fool/ Hanging On A String/ Magic Touch
    Alexander O' Neal - What's Missing
Scritti Politti - Absolute/ The Word Girl

Far too many to go on :p
