Just watched a movie called Chatroom directed by Hideo Nakata.

It was absolutely rubbish, I expect it will remain the worst movie I will see this year.

Not only was the acting atrocious, but the writing was questionable as well. Greta Gerwig needs acting lessons. I am baffled how she got a golden globe nomination.

Sensei o ryuzan saseru ka (Let's Make the Teacher Have a Miscarriage Club) (2012)

Loosely based on a real-life incident involving five junior high (12-year-old) school girls' attempts to murder their teacher's unborn child, director Eisuke Naito offers us a dull, shallow and utterly pointless tale with a ridiculous resolution. Terrible camera work, too. I've seen better efforts from crappy high school film clubs. Thank goodness the running time is only 58 minutes.

Robocop - watched the original at home (again) and then a few days ago went to see the new one in the cinema.

Less balls, satire, interest and humour, but not a disaster.

Just watched Looper on DVD, interesting, but not sure how I really feel about it yet.

There was some Battle Los Angeles on Film4, I somehow endured around 45 minutes of it. Was laughably bad

Just over 6 weeks in and we're already deciding worst film of the year?

Haven't seen anything yet this year i've hated. If i'd waited one more day and watched American Hustle on Jan 1st, that would have been my worst of the year by a mile as it was utter durge.

Doesn't have to be films released this year

If you read the OP's first post, they mentioned a film called Chatroom and that was released back in 2010.

I watched The Paperboy on Netflix the other day.

What an odd film. Like an episode of American Horror Story without the (severed) tongue-in-cheek humour.

"Homefront". Paint by numbers action movie with Jason Statham as Jason Statham, The Man with the Indeterminate Accent.
I sat through the whole thing and never noticed Winona Ryder was in it.

Dungeons & Dragons 3. I had no expectations, but it managed to exceed them spectacularly. A truly awful movie.

Merely naming things in the D&G game does not give this movie any plus points at all.

I've seen that one. It was quite strange but almost instantly forgettable.

The only film I've seen this year is American Hustle, I think. Was alright.
