I'd like to start this by suggesting Chasing Pavements by Adele, Jodie did a pretty good job of it on the Nancy show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1adsKKo-ybU

I suggested the same song for her earlier in a different thread : her voice is not dissimilar to Adele's and she would probably do a great job :)

I think a sort of orchestral version of Russian Roulette by Rihanna would be fantastic for Mary.

I'd rather play Russian Roulette than listen and watch another Mary performance again...:D

She could sing Duffy really easily. Modern and retro.

Chasing Pavements would be a brilliant choice for her.

I actually think she could give a Florence & the Machine song a good stab, something like You've Got The Love. (Yes I am aware it was not her song first!) :)

I suppose she's a similar build to Jodie so why not sing one of her songs.

Mary will not pull off a modern song, it's going to be a disaster.

The themes are allowing her to do so.
I would like to see a bizarre novelty and comedy songs week to take them all right out of their comfort zones.

We WIll All Go Together When We Go - Tom Lehrer - Matt
Oompa Loompa - Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - Mary :D
I'm So Ashamed - Peter Sellers - John
Shuddup In Your Face - ? - Rebecca
Officer Krupkie - West Side Story - One Direction
I Want It Now - Charlie and The Chocolate Factory - Cher
I'm Getting Married In The Morning - My Fair Lady - Paije
Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep - Pickettywitch - Belle Amie
Herod's Song - Jesus Christ Superstar - Aidan
Just You Wait Henry Higgins - My Fair Lady - Katie
Telephone Man - Mari Wilson - TreC
The Weather - Flanders and Swann - Wagner

I think it's clear she has a limited repertoire, is set in her ways and doesn't want to move out of her comfort zone in any shape or form. It's also clear, Louis has no idea what else to do with her.

I'm expecting to hear her sing It's A Man's World again soon.

I love what she's doing now but I think she'd sing I'm Outa Love by Anastacia well

or Heading For A Fall by Vaya Con Dios

Adele would be good but if they are sticking to balads then Christina Aguilera's Hurt would suit her.

My dad come out with, 'I'd like to hear her sing 'Valerie'.

I always thought Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep was by Middle of the Road?
Wagner should do The Hippopotamus Song or O Solo Mio with "Just one Cornetto" lyrics :D
Shaddap Your Face was by Joe Dolce.

I agree that Mary would be brilliant singing Adele or Duffy.
