What's that song?

Hi.

I'm desperately trying to remember a song, but my description is going to be very vague I'm afraid:

I think but am not 100% sure that the song came out in the 90's. I think the band is American.
From memory the style of music is mainstream rock. The theme of the song was storms or rough seas. I think the music video was either set under water or on a sailing boat on rough seas, and possibly inside a house. I seem to remember fish and bubbles as well. The video was deliberately unrealistic.
It was very catchy and most likely very popular at the time, but ill be dammed if I can remember it now.
Any help will be greatly received.

Male singer? Definitely North American rather than British indie?
    Up-tempo? Down-tempo?
Have a guess at a year? Not definite but the best place to start looking.

    Hi

Definitely uptempo. Male singer. If I had to guess if say late 90's.
I first came by it when it was used as background music to a hurricane footage video on YouTube, but I cant find that video anymore grrr. I saw that hurricane video in the early 00's.

Also, I did say it was rock, but I use that term lightly. Some might call it popular music.
Well I did say the clues were vague.

I'm not even gonna have a stab at guessing it, but if it was catchy, and therefore probably popular, have you tried searching for 'best selling songs of the 90's' type lists? You might find it in one of them.

Do you sign in to YouTube? If so, you might be able to find it by looking through your 'Watch History'.

You could also check the internet history on your browser.

Hi. I wish. I last watched it on a desktop PC some 7 or 8 years ago at my old place of work, and that was before I had a YouTube account to be signed into.
I've never watched it on any of my existing equipment.

It's so frustrating. I'm just hoping it will come to me the more I think about it.

Yes, finally remembered it :) Filter - Take A Picture.
Hurricane wasn't a lyric but the rest was close enough.

    Cheers

I grew up enjoying the gloomy tunes of Sisters of Mercy and The Cure.
Believe me, this is uptempo :)
