The OP is not a troll, he just has a wicked sense of humour and I like it. In the words of the Animals, "Don't let me be misunderstood". Applicable to the OP and to the Moff.
I'm the biggest Moffat hater I know, but my fav 10, 11 and 12 Doctor eps are all written by him, and his 9 ep that I like, while not my favourite, i really like and would be in my top 3.
He can write good single eps, it's just being in charge that he has absolutely no idea what he's doing.
My feelings towards Moffat depend on the last episode of his I have seen.
Currently I love him to bits and want him to come round for tea so I can give him cake and scones.
There have been times when I have wanted to lock him in a cellar and give him nothing but bread and water.
It's not personal. I'm sure he's very nice, though maybe a bit cocky. But we all have faults.
Seriously, it's mostly disappointment, rather than hate - I know he's capable of Blink or Listen. Why then does he give us The Doctor in Narnia? But I should be more forgiving, I suppose; even geniuses have off days. And some people do like The Doctor in Narnia, apparently.
Something that bugs me, is that while everybody is entitled to their own opinion, there is the people who just constantly moan and complain and talk about how the show is ruined and how much they hate Moffat on a weekly basis. As someone who still enjoys and loves the show, I find it really depressing and unsettling to see this kind of attitude from so-called 'fans' every week, and I will sometimes avoid Facebook for a bit after an episode has aired because of the overwhelming negativity. People acting like they know better how to run a show than a rather successful writer in such an arrogant manner, moaning that the show isn't the same as it used to be, being all around depressingly negative and pessimistic. I find it very off-putting, if I'm honest.
I've not sure I've ever known such a whiney and hateful fandom as Doctor Who's.
And some people do like The Doctor in Narnia, apparently.
Yeah, the Narnians
I do agree though - it isn't hate as more like disappointment. We've seen him at his best when RTD was showrunner and now that he is showrunner....he's somewhat off the boil.
Does being showrunner have an effect?? Is spending his time between Sherlock and Doctor Who also playing a part? Who can say.
But I wouldn't object if he was to forego being showrunner provided he does all the episodes in a series to the same quality of Blink. That would truely be the best ever Doctor Who series...ever.
EDIT: AND if he was really clever, all his episodes would have one worded titles and...AND...they would then, at the end of the series, make a complete sentence
