Movies on I-pod 80gb??

Is it possible to load a normal dvd onto the ipod via i=tunes and some sort of compression. Despite the adverts showing i-pod screens with movie clips I can't find out how to do this?? I know the screens a bit small but I would like to load a full music movie like Stop making sense or Koyaanisqatsi.

rip the DVD with Handbrake (Mac) or equivalent PC program. Compress it to H264 and import it into iTunes.
