He did not call Farage a c*nt.

He misquoted O'Flynn, effectively saying that the party was in danger of becoming a personality c*nt.

    Two VERY different things.

If the OP wants to bring up threads like this, at least get your facts right.

At least Nigel is called "Farage" and not "Hunt".

This is all over the media. I despair sometimes at the trivia that our media thinks is newsworthy.

Ha, that's brilliant. Irrespective of my views on Farage, inadvertent swearing on the telly always cheers me up.

Whether he said it in that context or not, Smith has been the most blatantly partisan BBC journalist of the lot during the election.

If they know what is good for them, they will dispose of his services forthwith. It's his type (and Peston was at it this morning, belittling Carney's immigration claims) that are playing into the Tory's hands.

We've got worse on BBC Scotland. We even have to suffer Sarah Smith, daughter of the late Labour leader John Smith giving us her unbiased view of politics!! She was brought in for the referendum and stayed.

Farage isn't a c***t. He has neither the warmth nor the depth 😆

It's good, but not as funny as Eddie Mair's unfortunate spoonerism when introducing "Jeremy Hunt, culture secretary" on the Today programme.
He was still struggling to suppress his guffaws when he apologised, and they'd had the news and weather in between.

I was late for work that morning, on account of having to change my wet pants.

Great. Smith should resign for that.... And then be reinstated shortly afterwards.:)
