A potential fire bomber set fire to his own clothes last night while trying to plant an incendiary device in a shop in Belfast and made his escape in a blaze of a rush. That's a new one.

They should really just give up these bomb attempts. The last one was so crap that when it fully exploded everyone thought it had only partially exploded and now this dude manages to set himself on fire while trying to do it. What a bunch of idiots

Odd behaviour - maybe he is mentally unstable but found some incendiaries.

The simplest of incendiaries are just two chmicals mixing together - the fave here used to be glycerine poured into cotton wool at the TOP of an empty cigarette packet...which soaks down through the wool and into potassium permanganate in the bottom of the packet. Depending on how well-packed down the wool is, it can take up to twenty minutes between pouring in the glycerine and the incendiary catching fire, time enough to do it somewhere out if sight, walk into a shop, place it somewhere like into the pocket of an item of clothing hanging up....and depart - and thus which one of a hundred people past the CCTV cameras is the bomber???

This time the bomber got his timings wrong.

It should hardly be difficult to pick him up on the cctv footage. No mention of any pictures on the evening news. Seems a bit tardy of the police.
