It was an absolute disgrace that Johnson got booed; I suggest that those responsible are frogmarched out & put on a plane to Afghanistan.
I'm utterly ashamed.

I agree, they should be locked in the Tower for treason!

He's not a very good skater at all and he is getting through now purely on the sympathy vote.
If they had booed anyone else, would you suggest they were frogmarched to Afghanistan?

Just because he was a soldier doesn't mean he is above criticism.

I'm sure they respect what he's done for the country. . . but he's awful and shouldn't have gone straight through.

It's not a popularity / what you've done in the past contest.

He doesn't vote himself through. It's pointless to boo him.

    This!

I don't agree with anyone getting booed, however I don't think Johnson should get special treatment. He's rubbish and if he stays passed next week it will be a farce.

Actually, I'm glad he didn't - it was the best way of ensuring we got rid of Katona. There was always a chance against Johnson she would have got the "performance" vote.

Praising someone for something they're awful at is far more disrespectful than telling them as it is :D

How did you work that out then?

Are you aware of the shows concept? Should we just tell him he's brilliant and let him win because he's an ex soldier?

So what has Kerry done? this week Johnson upped his game.
As far as I'm concerned it is on ability & anyone who has received a V.C deserves to have all the respect.
It sums up how low people can sink.
At least Johnson has taken the show & task in hand seriously.
Sorry no one who has done what Johnson has done under any circumstances or situation should be booed.

Didn't the man suffer major head trauma? He's got to work especially hard to learn the steps.

Im not talking about his skating in the show I'm talking about the booing, which is what this thread was about.

Your suggesting he should get special treatment because of who he is. I'm sure he wouldn't expect to be treated any different to anyone else, Kerry got booed last week. Did you complain then?

I hope the booing isn't going to become a regular feature of the show - it spoils the atmosphere.

Johnson wasn't much worse than Jeff so it wasn't some sort of travesty.

I thought the incident said more about Jeff's fans in the audience. Not very gracious.

He has never on any occasion been the worst contestant of the night so why should he have gone he is improving quite a lot week on week. He shouldn't be booed whoever he was.

Jeff was marginally better but his routine was littered with errors and he's not the most exciting performer.

We can't expect the public vote to automatically mirror the judge's table otherwise there'd be little point in it.
