Being Human - New Series Discussion **[SPOILERS IN TAGS]**

I thought we should have a new thread for the discussion of the new series, as the old thread is quite long and refers mostly to the old pilot and news surrounding whether or not the show was going to get a series.

So, here is where we should talk about the new series that starts tonight on BBC THREE at 9pm and on BBC HD at 11pm. Opinions on the first episode, how good the new actor and actress fit the roles of Mitchell and Annie, how good the story and effects are, and of course, the obligatory "how fit is Russell Tovey?" debate!

ANY SPOILERS POSTED IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE INCLUDED IN TAGS - THIS THREAD SHOULD BE SAFE FOR EVERYONE TO READ WITHOUT THE SHOW BEING SPOILED FOR THEM!!!

Can't wait for tonight... I may resist temptation and watch it on BBC HD instead of BBC 3, which means I shall be avoiding this topic until later tonight!

Did you not watch the old pilot last year? If not, then you are in for a treat I'd say.

    Slightly odd.

They are sort of glossing over details in the pilot (if not changing them altogether, e.g. location of Werewolf attack) but have included two pieces already (dead nurse and isolation room) that will mean nothing to people who haven't seen the pilot.

I'm at home with my parents this weekend, and I've just been turfed out of the sitting room as Dad wants to watch some inane film

Any idea if Being Human is being repeated on BBC3?
I know there's iplayer, but I want to see it on TV.

For the purposes of this series I think you will find the producers are taking the approach that the pilot was of a different cannon and consequently has nothing to do with this new storyline.

    Yes, that was my point.

I thought it was a clean slate but both the visiting vampire and the shrine in the hall mentioned the nurse Lauren who he sired in the pilot so she is obviously still part of the plot.

Also the isolation room which was a major part of the pilot was reintroduced along with smashed furniture and scratched on the wall, although this was immediately written out.

Is there something going on between Mitchell & George we don't know about?

I do like the new Herrick, he has a much more Bitish feel than Adrian Lester's brash American style delivery.
