    About 266 miles.

    Near Chichester, West Sussex to Anfield, Liverpool.

    I haven't lived near Anfield since my childhood.

    Miles and miles (712.6 miles to be exact)! I support Bayern Munich but have never lived anywhere near Munich even when I lived in Germany. Now I'm in London.

    No one asked (or cares) but I'll tell anyway :p...

    I have always supported Bayern for the following reasons:

    (1) I was in love with Mario Basler and Bayern always had players I adored (Effenberg, Scholl, Roque Santa Cruz, Robben just to name a few);

    (2) I have always liked and deeply admired Bayern's management (Beckenbauer, Hoeness, Rummenigge etc.) and the way the club has been run;

    (3) No coach was more entertaining than Trapattoni and although we have played the most horrifically ugly football under him and for many years thereafter (because it's not easy to recover from Trapattoni football) he is still my favourite Bayern coach;

    (4) Hitzfeld and Heynckes - for me two of the best managers of all time;

    (5) Everyone in Germany outside of Munich hates Bayern;

    (6) There is something majestic about the club and its history - the club of champions, the club of the rich;

    (7) Munich is my favourite city in Germany and I love the Munich accent;

    (8) Bayern Munich is the coolest club in the world. :cool:

    It's a completely different thread. That wanted to know how close you were to the ground. This wants to know how far you are from it. :p

    I'm about 2-2.5 miles away, roughly 10-20 minutes on a bus, depending on traffic (it's a busy route).

    But since Liverpool are in the Premier League I think I'm still a plastic fan. Also Goodison Park is slightly closer, so I'm just one step below a glory hunter.

    Again, no one asked (or cares) but this is the kind of stuff Mario Basler used to do...

    With today's roaming Wi-Fi phones, we can have daily updates on how far everyone is from their ground. Eventually pinpoint people, learn their daily routine and then BLAM

    My list of reasons is a bit less impressive:

    1) Cov played around the corner

    2) I could leave the house at 5 to 3 and be in for kickoff

    3) I wish I grew up somewhere else

    If I was going on that AA route planner it's 1.2 miles by road, but as I walk to the ground by a more direct route it's a bit less than that.

    I can make it from my front door to my seat in the middle of the North Stand in 15 minutes if I'm in a hurry, or 20 minutes if I'm walking normally.

    That's probably closer than the visitor's car parks are - every time I've been there I've wished I'd brought some hiking boots!

    It's about 6 miles to Stamford Bridge.
    Brentford are the nearest, walking distance if you like walking, about 3.5 miles along the river.

    I go by bus and I have to factor in a pint in the Tommy Wass and a pint in The Old Peacock plus fish n chips or pie and chips from United Fisheries/Gravleys/Fisherman's Wife or whatever it's called this month, so set off about 12.30. (For a 3.00pm KO)
