Why not go the whole hog and run it 7 days a week?

    I prefer the phrase
    "the gene pool needs chlorinating".

    Or
    "sniper!"

Slightly more seriously, I can understand why ITV show it (it's cheap, it appeals to people who either like watching car crashes or are rather too close to the people appearing on it), but by god it's about the lowest form of TV out there.

Saturday morning? Hmmm, get up, hot bath, leisurely breakfast, little walk to the shops, get the hockey kit sorted out, wee bit of internet radio on the background, light lunch.

What's "Saturday morning television" again??

Saturday morning television was never the same after axing SMTV/CDUK and Live and Kicking. Sorry.

No wonder the kids run riot....they need quality kids programmes.

I remember when Saturday morning TV used to have stuff like SMTV Live and CDUK. I used to get up early to watch those shows. Now I stay in bed a bit longer, go online and then have breakfast. I might watch some music videos but that's all I watch on Saturday mornings now.

I can see why people moan by saying "just switch over, don't watch it" but it's more a case of it being "look what's happened to the saturday morning slot".

Saturday mornings have to be Radio 2.......

8 - 10........ sounds of the sixties with Brian Matthews
    10 - 1 .........Graham Norton
    1 - 3 ..........Tony Blackburn.....

What more can you want!...... tv doesn't come anywhere near it!........

I could never take to Live and Kicking but SMTV/CDUK was always my favourite (as I mentioned earlier in this thread). I had a look at some of the kids channels the other day and I'm glad I was a kid in the 90s as the TV was much better. I'm also glad I had the chance to experience Windows 98 and the beginning of the web (dial up anyone? :p) I remember my friend getting her first computer and I thought Windows 98 was brilliant. I also remember going to this place where you paid £1 to play a computer game (I think it was some kids educational game but it was still fun and they used Windows 95). I use a Macbook now though :D

Oh dear... I'm going off topic!

It's actually the US version of his show, so might be worth having a look at to see if american chavs are just like ours!

If anything, since the Americans like to be several steps ahead of us Brits, their chavs are probably worse than ours!

Maybe it's just short term schedule filler if it's Kyle on tour in America. I wouldn't worry as hardly anyone watches ITV1 on a Saturday morning and I would be more concerned if they showed this in peaktime.

What was wrong with showing the Coronation Street omnibus, the Saturday Morning seemed to suit that as I'd never bother during the week, but CITV & the Chart Show was even better, why couldn't the Jeremy Kyle Show US just go on ITV2?

The ITV1 omnibus of Coronation Street is moving to ITV2.

The repeat fees for the actors are cheaper doing it this way.

It is reported that they are unhappy about this and are considering industrial action.

Interesting that ITV3 at that same time shows repeats of Upstairs Downstairs - one of ITV's all-time greats, made in the 1970s when the channel was at its zenith in terms of reputation and popularity.

    Compare and contrast.
